Founder's Day & Month.
Each October the group marks the birthday of the late Dr. Lee Moses Iseko, born 10 October 1951, who opened Limi Hospital & Maternity in Zaria, Kaduna State, in 1982. The Abuja hospital now stands on a street that carries his name.
Why we mark it
Most hospitals celebrate anniversaries of buildings. This one marks a person, because the hospital started as one man's decision that quality private healthcare ought to be available to Nigerians where they actually lived — in Zaria, in 1982, when very little of it was.
He set the terms the group still runs on: accessible quality private healthcare, driven by clearly defined core values, evidence-based medicine and Godly principles. That sentence has never been rewritten for a campaign. It is still the one printed in the brand guidelines today.

The hospital that opened in 1982 was a maternity practice in a two-storey building with mango trees outside and breeze blocks still stacked against the wall. The photograph at the top of this page is the actual building, taken around 1986.
Forty-four years later it is three hospitals in Abuja, Limi Multispecialty, Limi Children's and CardioCare, sharing one set of records. Families who came to the first one for a delivery now bring their grandchildren to the third. That continuity is the thing being marked in October, more than any single person.
